Contractual Plans

Boston Financial has the ability to adapt our systems to support unique requirements like contractual plans. We serve the transfer agency, intermediary and other outsourcing needs of five fund companies that offer contractual plans, representing 12 funds, approximately 650,000 planholders and more than $11 billion in assets.

Because contractual funds have many of the same features and needs as mutual funds, such as new account setup, transaction processing and customer service, Boston Financial uses our mutual fund platform to support contractual plans. However, we have modified that platform to address the unique features of contractual plans, such as SEC regulations governing the sales charge structure and contracts of these plans.

Enhancements to our mutual funds platform to support contractual plans’ special processing requirements include changing plan investment amounts, account withdrawals and notifying planholders of their right to cancel their plans at interim periods.
