Boston Financial Wins honors in SourceMedia’s 2005 Fund Operations Awards
Quincy, Mass., June 14, 2005 – Boston Financial Data Services, Inc. announced today that it won efficiency/streamlining and leadership honors in SourceMedia’s 2005 Fund Operations Awards. The annual awards sponsored by Money Management Executive (MME) and judged by a panel of leading industry consultants, honor excellence in the areas of technology and operations.
As Division Vice President in charge of the Process Improvement Office at Boston Financial, Jane Brennan received the MME leadership award for her strategic restructuring initiative and leadership role involving the Process Improvement Office. The Process Improvement Office, which focuses on continuous improvement through Lean Thinking and Six Sigma methodologies, streamlines processes while improving quality and reducing work.
Over the past year, the Process Improvement Office has identified over $1 million in internal process improvement opportunities, and in the case of one client an annual savings of $400,000. According to Brennan, she embraces the details of “hands-off, non-value-added activities while improving quality and reducing work.
In conjunction with Brennan’s leadership award, MME also honored the firm’s Process Improvement Office for its efficiencies/streamlining efforts.
Citing the outstanding job of reducing clients’ expenses while at the same time improving quality, MME presented the efficiencies/streamlining and leadership awards to Brennan during the National Investment Company Services Association (NICSA) General Membership meeting in Wellesley, Mass on June 13.
